About the Owner

My name is Austin Hirsch – Owner/Captain of Wheelhouse Marine.

I moved from a small land-locked town in Upstate New York to Sarasota in early 2018. For as long as i can remember time has always pulled me in the direction of water…being on the coast was always the goal. The majority of family vacations were centered around chasing a salty shore and hopes to someday make that lifestyle more permanent. Timing and opportunity met and the day had come. I was looking for a fresh opportunities and truthfully some sunshine. I landed a job at a local high volume marina starting as a dockhand where I was submerged into a true admiration for boats. From there I’ve been fortunate in my Marine career to be exposed to many opportunities from the best people in the game. The experiences and knowledge gained from starting at a dockhand position to marine forklift operator and eventually to Marina operations manager has given me the opportunity to solve situations at all levels and angles.

Gaining as much knowledge and hands on experiences as I could in the last 4 years I decided to bring my dedication to the market and offer services with passion. So here you have Wheelhouse Marine.
